ETH Crosses $2,500 For the First Time Since 2022

On January 16, the co-founder of Ethereum,

Vitalik Buterin, opined that blockchain validiums are not genuine Zk-rollups. According to the Ethereum founder, validiums do not have the security architecture of rollups, meaning users cannot recover their assets in case of cyberattacks. Buterin added that the main advantage of Zk-rollups is that they enable off-chain transactions and post cryptographic proofs of legitimate transactions.

Vitalik suggested multiple changes to Ethereum’s structure in recent weeks. As a result, ETH crossed $2,500 for the first time since May 2022. On January 10, ETH traded at $2,372. A week later, ETH gained 7.80% and traded for $2,556. As one of the world’s best altcoins, ETH surged due to an influx of new investors following the SEC’s approval for BTC Spot ETFs. Subsequently, experts expect ETH to stay bullish and trade for $2,800 in Q1 2024.

BitPay Approves Support for Binance Coin

On January 8, BitPay (the world’s leading crypto payments service provider) approved the proposal to integrate Binance Coin as a payment option on its platform. The platform also announced support for other top altcoins like Chainlink and Uniswap in an effort to boost its crypto payment options. This BitPay integration was good news to Binance Coin investors, and Binance Coin recorded a minor price surge a few hours after this announcement.

On January 8, BNB sold for $299. Within a week, BNB gained 3.14% and traded for $309. For some reason, Binance Coin investors did not hop on the bullish trend after the SEC approved BTC Spot ETFs. As a result, BNB recorded a minor surge, unlike other altcoins, and crypto experts believe BNB will also range during BTC’s halving in April. Therefore, analysts expect BNB to maintain steady growth in Q1 2024 and trade for $320 by March.
