Mastercard Launches NFT UEFA Champions League Trivia Game

Payments giant Mastercard has launched its Web3-powered trivia competition for football fans. It rewards players for their UEFA Champions League knowledge and “will crown football’s top trivia buff,” said an announcement.

The trivia game will be part of a new platform, called pass to priceless, which “brings Mastercard’s Web3 assets into a unified space.”

Through his platform, players can collect Mastercard X UEFA Champions League-branded digital passes. The passes come in the form of NFTs.

This gives them the chance to win tickets to the Final at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Each quiz will start 30 minutes before each UEFA Champions League round of Tuesday fixtures, starting on February 13 and ending on June 1.

Players will answer questions from the highest-scoring game to the year the first-ever Group Stage occurred.

Winners of each round will be rewarded with UEFA Champions League match tickets, thus climbing the leaderboard.

The person at the top of the leaderboard after the semi-final on April 30 will win the grand prize of tickets to the final at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Kresus Wallet Joins Sotheby’s Metaverse for NFT Management in One Place

Auction house Sotheby’s Metaverse arm has added the Web3 app Kresus as a supported digital wallet option. Per the announcement, collectors can now buy and store digital artworks through the app.

The addition of Kresus “enables the easiest way to store digital art for both collectors new to the digital artwork world and long-time NFT collectors who want a robust mobile-first Web3 wallet,” the press release said.

It added that Kresus has unique technology: the app allows users to recover assets even if they lose access to their email. It calls it “’goof-proof’ security.”

The tool, combined with total user control, is crucial for Sotheby’s ecosystem to provide digital collectors who seek a safe vault to store their high-end NFTs, Kresus said.

Meanwhile, Sotheby’s announced that it would host a Sealed Auction of Ether Rock from February 14 to 21.

In other NFT news, crypto exchange Bybit has announced a strategic partnership with UniSat, a bitcoin service provider that supports inscription assets.

According to the press release, by integrating UniSat’s cross-chain technology, the exchange establishes a unified inscription platform that supports BRC-20 tokens across diverse blockchains.

The move eliminates the need for users to navigate multiple platforms, “simplifying and streamlining” the inscription process.

This collaboration “marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the inscription market.” Users can seamlessly gain access to a comprehensive backend logic system that tracks and analyzes BRC20 assets.

The exchange said this provides the users with valuable insights and informed trading decisions.

UniSat’s interoperability solutions will open the way for deeper liquidity pools for inscribed BRC-20 tokens on Bybit.

Subsequently, this will broaden access for investors and secondary markets, amplifying the overall value proposition of the inscription ecosystem, the press release said.

Do you know what Web3 #Inscriptions are?

TLDR; They turn satoshis into distinctive, #Bitcoin-native digital artifacts, akin to NFTs (non-fungible tokens) on other blockchains.
